Big Blues saw Climax Blues Band come full circle and return to some of the blues standards which cemented the bands foundations. Recorded as an homage to Willie Dixon and the Chicago blues it contained a stripped back sound that enabled the truth  of the blues to be told. The digital release was swiftly embraced by the US I-tunes blues charts and it was also given a 4 star rating in the UK Sunday Times Music Review supplement.
